About Us
"We give big grants to small charities to transform lives across Greater Sydney"
Sydney is a beautiful city, but social disadvantage is increasing. More people than ever need assistance from specialist charities to overcome disadvantage and get their lives back on track.

Homelessness. Employment. Drugs and alcohol. Childhood trauma. Mental Health. Family violence. These and many other forms of social disadvantage are affecting people’s wellbeing and futures.T

he need for targeted support from expert, grass roots not-for-profits has never been greater.
Imagine the impact of 100 people coming together and pooling their donations to create a single, major grant of $100,000, to award to a not-for-profit, to implement evidence-based solutions to a major social issue.

That’s the Impact100 global model.
Giving circles are part of being human
Collaborative giving is centuries old.  Giving circles, made up of friends, neighbours and people with a common interest, tap into our sense of belonging and our desire to care for people in need, in our community or across the world.Today, giving circles are the fastest growing movement in philanthropy in Australia and globally, making philanthropy accessible to everyone.
Our story
Impact100 Sydney was founded in 2017 and since then we have raised and donated over $900,000 to fund grassroots charities turn their big dreams into reality.

We are part of the global Impact100 family, founded in 2001 in the USA, which now has over 60 chapters worldwide and has raised over USD105 million to transform local communities.
Good governance
We are a sub-fund of the Sydney Community Foundation, a public not-for-profit foundation and a registered charity, which manages all aspects of our governance.
SYDNEY COMMUNITY FOUNDATION
This keeps our administration costs low and means 100% of our member donations are directed to our major grant each year.
